History For over 38 years Lee's Dairy Treat has been serving the Brookfield
area. Lee's Dairy Treat was established on April 2, 1971 by Leander Bugs with the help of his wife Clarice
Bugs. Leander Bugs and his wife opened the store which started out as part of the Blue Boy franchise and than after 5 years
decided to venture off on their own and start their own business, Lee's Dairy Treat Inc. Leander Bugs passed away on February
17, 1999 battling through cancer. Although his youngest daughter Danette Janik took the business over in 1997,
Lee was still very active in the business. She has now been running it for the past 11 years. Clarice, Lee's
wife, also still plays an active part in the business along with Danette's son Nikolas. Lee's, short
for Lee's Dairy Treat, is a seasonal business which is open 9 months out of the year(February-November). The other 3 months
Better's Evergreens sells Christmas trees on the lot. Lee's features indoor counter seating that is heated/cooled,
front outdoor walk-up service window, and also outdoor picnic tables. We are the home of the monster malt and have over
30 different flavors for sundaes, malts, shakes, and blitzes. We also make our own homemade chili which is served in season
and bar-b-que beef. One of the nicest things that people like about us is that we are old fashioned. We have picture signs
that were painted on plastic and the indoor area is very unique unlike most restaurants. Since we are evolving with along
with technology we now accept credit/debit cards and also cash. The ice cream at Lee's is actually ice milk so it is 96%
fat free, so enjoy! Also make sure you bring your cameras for our state of the art ice cream cone garbage cans that
are 6 feet tall, it would be a great Kodak moment. We hope to see you all soon for a delicious treat!
